Tournament and history
The latest edition of the tournament took place from the 24th June to the 9th of July 2023 which was a week earlier than usual.
Thanks to the support of Brigitte Kuster, Mayor at the time of the 17th district, of the OMS du 17e and of the Mairie de Paris, the Open du 17e was created in 2010.
Officially recognized FFT by the Paris Tennis Committee, it started with 60 players to up to more than 800 players during the 11th edition.
Essential topics to the organizers of the tournament such as ecology applied to sport and first aid gestures were and still are included.
Our Engagement
AGENDA 21: It is an effort to be sustainable. As we must act on an environmental and social level, we follow this action plan. We recycle everything we can, sort our waste and try to lower as much as possible our carbon footprint. Many organizations already came to the Open du 17 to explain the gestures and actions that we can have to try and make our contribution to the global effort.
School tennis: We work on setting up tennis in schools of the 17th district with those which do not have it.
Blind tennis: Partnerships to establish with schools and club slots open to blind tennis.
Adapted tennis: Setup of tennis classes or specific actions to disabled public.
First Aid gestures: Cardiac massage, Recovery position, Use of defibrillator
